Political Odds Offer Good Value For a Second Presidential Debate

Trump vs. Harris seal

Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has officially accepted the CNN invitation for a second debate against Donald Trump. However, Donald Trump has stated that there will be no second debate and that it is too late since some votes have already been cast.

In a recent interview, Kamala Harris said the people need another debate about each candidate’s plan for America. She told reporters that she would like to see Trump on the Debate stage. Donald Trump, at a recent rally, told his supporters that he has already participated in two debates and that a third debate is scheduled too late since some mail-in votes have already been cast.

Democratic Candidate Switch

Donald Trump has already participated in two debates against two different Democratic Candidates. President Joe Biden’s departure from the 2024 election soon followed the first debate. After a disastrous debate, Biden was pressured to leave his reelection campaign over fears of his cognitive state. Soon after his withdrawal, Biden endorsed his vice president Kamala Harris for the 2024 Presidential election.

Harris was formally introduced as the Democratic party’s candidate at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, where she introduced her running mate, Tim Walz, a Democratic governor from Minnesota.

Betting On A Second Debate

US bettors have numerous online options for betting on the next US president. Since federal laws prohibit state-licensed sportsbooks from offering political betting lines, offshore betting sites have stepped up to the challenge and have been offering political odds since the early 2000s.

In addition to betting on the election, props for a second debate, state odds, and more are also available.

Below are the odds for a second debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. The odds indicate that a second debate is unlikely, but if it does happen, a $100 bet will yield $300.
